Travel + Leisure Co. is a leading hospitality brand with headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The company operates resort properties across the region. With a workforce of approximately 2,000 members, Travel + Leisure serves both corporate employees and resort operations staff.

Their healthcare starting point

Travel + Leisure already offered an onsite health center for corporate employees at its Orlando headquarters. As the company expanded its footprint, leadership recognized an opportunity to extend that same level of care to resort operations staff—a population with demanding, physically intensive jobs and limited flexibility to seek traditional healthcare.  

THE CHALLENGE

Reaching workers who rarely reach the doctor

While Travel + Leisure had built a health center model for corporate employees, extending that access to hourly and operations staff required a fundamentally different approach.

  • Resort staff work long, irregular hours with limited time for appointments

  • Field-based roles make it difficult to access traditional healthcare settings

  • Employees were less inclined to see a doctor regularly due to job demands

Left unaddressed, these barriers lead to delayed care, unmanaged conditions, and rising costs. Travel + Leisure recognized that offering benefits wasn't enough—access had to meet employees where they were, through a partner built for a workforce that traditional care had long underserved.

Travel + Leisure joined the Marathon Health network to give Orlando resort staff and dependents access to care at little to no cost—removing the logistical barriers that had long kept this workforce from seeking care.

Network health centers deliver a spectrum of services—sick care, preventive care, behavioral health, chronic condition management, and referral coordination—supporting long-term health.

Driving engagement among a hard-to-reach population

In 2022, nearly 1,000 unique members visited the Orlando health centers. By year two, 73% of Travel + Leisure's at-risk employees made measurable progress reducing biometric risk factors.
