PATIENT STORY

When someone finally listens, everything changes

I was struggling with high cholesterol, joint pain from arthritis, and high ferritin levels, which caused me to have too much iron in my blood. I was often fatigued, but had trouble sleeping because of muscle spasms in my back.

As an employee of Tyson, I scheduled an appointment at the Bright Blue Health Center, where I saw Nurse Practitioner Kelley Burg. Kelley really listened to me and understood my concerns. After an examination, she gave me some suggestions, referred me to cardiovascular and hematology specialists, and prescribed some medication to help get me started.

Since visiting Kelley, I have been eating healthy, watching my iron intake, and cutting down on fried foods. Today I feel so much better! I have more energy, I’m sleeping better, and I just feel more like myself.

If you’re having a health issue, please try the Bright Blue Health Center. There’s no deductible, and Kelley and the rest of the staff at the Bright Blue Health Center are great caregivers. They truly care about their patients. — Rebecca Morris
